<summary type="html">We had categories in the beginning. We removed it to give you a simpler form in the upload. People arrive to the site either with the direct name of the item or to upload.
Our aim will be to give you the ability to customize your own html, so that you can provide a seamless experience from your site with Kiqlo.
We are working on this in order to make it easier for you to make changed to logos, menus etc.. Basically the detail page will be "personal"</summary>

<summary type="html">I get your post, it was well explained and not at all confusing. I agree with you. I'm new here, but I see you're point.

I was sent here by a friend, and see that this site has huge potential, and the community seems to want to help the site get off the ground. That's great too?

Myself, I am lucky enough to have content up on other sites, to drive them to my kiqlo files, but I do see the value in the category structure proposed here.

Good luck, and hello,

    <summary type="html">Hi people,

I thought i should suggest this as I feel that the navigation for the user could be made a bit simpler

I think the user experience would be even better if people also had the ability to search by type of file by sub-category as well as seacrh by keyword. i.e if its in the category "audio" then they could have a drop down list of dance, reggae, soul, country and western etc or if was in the categroy "e-books" for example, then the list could be broken down into finance, health, computing etc, this would also mean that when somebody clicked on the "audio" button (or images or ebooks categories) then instead of the massive collection they have in front of them then its easier for the user as they could refine the search, I find it quite hard to find my own mp3's without typing the exact name and if I click on Audio, I have a massive collection to siphen through with no easy search options after that, i'm guessing the search results are ranked by latest posts which is ok but maybe in future this could get very messy with more and more uploads every day.

the downfall of this idea is when there is not enough content in one of the sub categories it may make the site look empty, but maybe a way around this would be to not list a sub category until there was content in it. When the site takes off, and there are millions of files on there, without the sub category idea it will be impossible to find anything unless the user already knows the name of it or the seller has used exactly the right keywords. If there was a more uniformed category listthis would mean its the sellers responsibility to file their uploads in the correct categories keeping the site naturally organised from then on. another benefit of this would be the advertising you (kiqlo) could generate on them pages, i.e if www.kiqlo.com/e-books/health/diets became extremely popular with site visitors then the banner on that page could target that specific audience, obviously weight watchers or slim fast springs to mind there!

If the purpose of Kiqlo is purely for sellers to re-direct buyers from 3rd party sites (in my case youtube, myspace etc) to a particular file then the category idea is irrelevant as the user will know what they are looking for already, its only an idea that will work if kiqlo's aim is to be a shop which generates traffic for the uploaders.

I hope this makes sense, let me know if i have been confusing here!! ;)

thanks</summary>
